Earth, Body, Sex

Exploring experiences of separation and connection to our own bodies, to each other and to the Earth. Three solo dance performances created in experiences of seeing and being seen.

A ritual to honour a personal experience of the feminine,  a moment of allowing the fragile and the powerful to coexist in one body, an attempt to share an inner tug-of-war between hunger and suspicion, lust and integrity. Three solo dance performances created in experiences of seeing and being seen.

Earth, Body, Sex is a dance project exploring experiences of separation and connection to our own bodies, to each other and to the Earth. We are three queer women with different backgrounds and struggles, supporting each other in a physical work of facing shame and longing, finding aliveness, honesty and connection as sexual beings.

The three solos we show here gives a taste of a part of what we have been working on the last half a year. In the studio at Stenkrossen as well as by the sea and in the park, alone as well as in open workshops with other participants, we have used the form of “Authentic movement” - the simple practice of one person witnessing and one person moving freely sensing and sharing their experience of being in the space and the body of their own, expressing what’s there in the moment.
