Go away, don't leave me

Challenging feelings of shame and finding connection and support to see and be seen.

Since 2018, I have been working and researching with Aurora Westfelt that has led us to the creation of “Go away, don't leave me”, a dance performance using voice and improvisation about integrity, intimacy and consent that uses contact improvisation and authentic movement as a foundation.

This work also informs our teaching practice of contact improv, improv and contemporary dance. I am doing movement research and performance creation for “Inappropriate” Effrontery Movement, a physical exploration of daily experiences as women being told what is inappropriate, challenging feelings of shame and finding connection and support to see and be seen.
